Illegal Dumping of Truck Mount Dirty Water

My front lawn loves my dirty water. Its so plush the tips alone will hold you up. Looks like a golf course.

This is one of my pet peeves.  People are so in the dark about what  is or should be right.  The proper place(if not in a city) to dump is an area covered with vegetation that is far enough from running water that it will soak into the soil.  If you are minimizing the chemicals in your cleaning you are maybe pulling up four ounces of soap for every 50 gallons of water.  The soap is not going to damage the plants.  We seem to think if it goes through a processing plant that it will be "safer"  The best processing of your wastewater is done by plantlife, topsoil, and air.  To put this down the drain to a processing plant is a waste of processing plant capabilities.  The same goes for the water coming from most residential washing machines--it should be just used to water the lawn instead of helping to clog up the overburdened sewage treatment in most areas.  Let's be real, it is very very diluted soap and dirt?  If where you live allows it to decrease the load on your sewage system dump it in your back yard or in a friends field.  The soap will be a little bit of a fertilizer.    Talk to your local sanitarian and they will probably say the same thing.

Where I am we can dump to sewerage drain no problem and to a soak away if so many meters away from a water course.

I use micro splitters most of the time and I have to laugh sometimes,  my waste water is so innocuous compared to stuff the average housewife shoves into the system.

As some say Jaymark, ignorance is bliss, and a lotta guys like to wave the "But I didn't know" flag everywhere. Thing is, all laws are pertaining to a business are supposed to be researched by a business owner and adhered to, claiming ignorance won't get you off the hook with a lot of people "in authority". The buck's gotta stop somewhere and in this case it's you, either as an owner or as an employee. In fact, in a lot of cases, an employee can be brought to bear any associated costs and/or fines as well as the business owner, not knowing will not cut you any slack at all!

Besides which, what is so hard about looking after your/our environment?? Surely it's not that difficult to do??
