I have read about the sebo duo being a great prespray agitator.  Problem is that everytime I search online for it, it's priced over $500!  Is that how much this thing cost?  I live in Hawaii, so I would imagine shipping from this site might not be an option.  How much should this thing cost me?  Are there any other alternatives that would be in the $300 range?

Thanks.

what are you agitating if it is for commerical or residential how much volume do you do to justify this unit maybe a a better pre spray may be enough. aggressive agitation is not necessary on all jobs.

I actually do find that most of the jobs seem to come out fine without any agitation of the prespray.  I do mostly apartments, which have carpet that should have been changed years ago, so I use Enz-all for the prespray.  Most of the dirt comes out, with only a few spots needing some citrus solve.

So most of you don't usually find it necessary to use mechanical agitation then?

Well, at least now I know I won't have to spend anymore money on a mechanical agitator.

I have a Grandi Groomer already.  Is it really that effective for agitation on prespray?  I usually only use it after.  Maybe I'll try it for traffic lanes too.

Johnsmith.. get yourself a mech.aggitator.. The groomer will kill ya in the long run.. mech.agg.. aggitates better and faster.. Carpets turn out soooo much cleaner.. Rinse out sooo much faster.. Without aggitation on the Trashed (especially in the Traffic areas) your not getting it as clean.. Some cleaners slack.. LOL  For me its a time saver..Big smile

I have a Sebo, it was $500 CDN incl taxes.
There is also good manual grooming brushes, they'll keep you in shape.
If you can't find a used on in the islands, maybe try a rotary with a light pad, as some guys are doing, or maybe a dual brush floor scrubber.  Should be able to figure something out if you need a mechanical groomer.

I was under the impression that the Sebo was so much better than just a rotary brush or pad machine for agitation.  I know of options of small rotary brushes.  One that comes to mind is the Motorscrubber.  Seems pretty handy.

JohnL,

What do you use for mech agitation?  What are some other options that you would recommend?
