Has anyone had any experience with these business networking groups. I periodically get calls from members trying to recruit into their groups. I don't know what the fee is but I do know they meet once a week in the morning for an hour and attendance is necessary. If anyone has been in one of these groups how did it work out for you and is it worth the time.

Their motivation is not to help you get leads, they want you to bring them the leads. Oh, and you can give the organization a few hundred for the privilege.
I went to a breakfast meeting last year. Nice group of "joiners". I was in clubs when I was younger including Jaycees, Lions and Rotary. I have done the club thing and always find you get less out of it then you put in. Enterprise Rental sized them up and determined them to be a less than efficient investment of time or money. Ditto that. I work alone, go it alone. If I need help from a group of people who need their egos fed, shot me. |
