No Brad; if you want them to DRY the carpet, you DO have to go back to pick them up. The dryers will speed up the drying process, but they will NOT COMPLETE IT WHILE YOU ARE THERE. Unless you drink coffeee there for a few hours and stay to have dinner with your customer!

Brad,

Ken just wants to sell you his products. Believe me when I say you can get 1hr dry times. I do not sell portables or fans. Just experience and it's free. If you use a good presray and extract properly with dry strokes you will have the same results. Sell the speed dry service. I was offering this service 10 years ago and my customers loved it! Duh, Hammy. If I just wanted to sell him my products, I would sell him DRYERS, which I also sell. Not everything I sell is on my site. I also sell Vac hoses, solution hoses, qc and other stuff that is normally needed by cleaners.

Now my point. Dry to the touch, is not dry to the base of the primary back of the carpet. Customers that see dryers running while you clean are often under the mistaken impression that it is safe to walk on and put the furniture back right after you leave. This can cause problems! Dye marks from varnished furniture legs and mold caused by lack of air circulation are but 2 of these.

Better not to use the dryers in a residential setting. People will wait longer to put furniture back, when the carpet is dry down to the primary back, not the yarn tips, and you will have less problems.

Best placefor the dryers is on the commercial jobsite, or water damage. Not in the home for carpet cleaning.

Duh, Kenny
That's funny because I put my furniture back and guess what? No dye marks!

They also have things called furniture protectors Kenny which I highly recommend cleaners use regardless!

Not all furniture has fugutive dye on the legs Hammy. You lucked out.

We are talking about your customers moving stuff back AFTER you leave not carpet cleaners. Customers do it wrong and mistakes happen. Why risk it?

No Kenny I didn't luck out, I did it right, and by the way there is dye on the legs.

Why would you not encourage speed drying, when you apparently have one minute dry times and sell it for $1.00s/f You make no sense Confused

I guess because you just love to disagree and argue!

My point in all this was to give people that use portables a way in which to improve their service and to build a solid customer base, and to make more money!

So for those who want to continue with 12 to 24 hour dry times keep doing what you are doing. I thought I would share my experience with the board. I made my money in cleaning and got out. I have no reason to bullsh*t unlike Kenny!

I will have my POWER-DRI on sale in the USA either later this year or next. It will dry 50X quicker than most dryers will, and right down to the backing, not just the tips. No need for dryers.

Thats true.

Sure you do. You enjoy to argue too!
