I think you are talking about a Glow inThe Dark carpet. You need to find the recommendations of the manufacturer before cleaning.  We do a few just keep the ph below 10 and run a textile rinse. {No optical brightners for sure}

5th Generation refers to 5th Generation Nylon generally.  They teach you about the improvements in Nylon with each generation in the basic Carpet Cleaning Tech training IICRC offers, remember?

A fifth generation carpet is one that has an acid dye blocker applied to it prior to the flurochemical treatment.
Post dyed nylon has many empty dye sites after the dying process. This acid dye blocker treatment (often known as Stainmaster) fills the empty dye sites so if you spill a food or beverage that has acid dyes (kool-aid, soda pop, popsicles) these dyes won't fill these sites and become stains.
Most residential nylons made in the last ten years have this type of treatment.
This treatment is easily stripped by using the wrong chemistry or solvent.
