No offense, Mr Ed but I would not want your portable. You see, I prefer modern technology over the dated "workhorse" type that you prefer. If your machine is truly reliable like you claim it is, that is a good thing but I find it hard to believe seeing the embarrassing design flaws that it has.

If I paid the shipping fee of $150 and you sent me a Recoil free of charge, I would accept the offer and use the neanderthal machine as a test rat. But to purchase that thing? LOLLOLLOLLOL Oh....no, don't make me laugh!

No offense taken, Grutzy, because when we get e-mails like this one, we realize that we can't satisfy everyone such as yourself, especially when they haven't experienced running the machine in the first place.

"Oh boy, Ed I am so impressed with my new Cross-American Recoil XPS second edition!
The vacuum is even more than I expected. You have made an excellent portable/truckmount
even better. Truly a noticable difference in vacuum. And the pump is incredible!!!! It really is a
lot better better. The way you have the exhaust system is primo! We cleaned with the built in
booster and without. We used only 50 feet of 2 inch vacuum hose and I would like to put the
idea that it does not help the vacuum to bed or in the grave because not only me but Taylor,
Preston, and Vicky could tell the difference at the end of the vacuum hose. Of course you don't
really need when portable but we liked it so much we used it anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your switches . Anybody who says that our tanks are too flimsy is on LSD!! and having
a bad trip! lol...This is a high quality industrial machine that will clean from a van easier than
bringing it in a house. It isn't all that heavy ! The wheels are great and I like the wand.
We don't have very good electrical in our house. We mostly have 15 amps circuits . We plugged one
into we think a 20 amp circuit and the other was a 15 amp circuit and we ran it for about one hour
and it never kicked a breaker!!!!! Our water was around140 degrees and I presprayed with
CA Formula 410. Then put about 2 ounces of chemspec powder to each 5 gallons and it
got all the dirt out and even some very difficult spots. Coke spills ,food spills ,you name it we
have them.

With much appreciation!

Oh my, Mr. Ed, stuff like this really makes me sick.  You're such a deceitful person, I can't help but be disgusted.

That phone number belongs to your distributor, Jan Sullins.  On a personal level, I like Jan, but to advance this anecdote as proof that your machine is good borders on criminal, and is definitely deceitful and unethical.

Even if Jan actually did say this, what value would it have?  He sells your machines!  You didn't think to mention that, huh?  How could you possibly advance this as proof of your machine being good?  What were you thinking?

Have a little self-respect and stop doing things like this.

Mr. Ed,

You are one lame dude.  This has nothing to do with me, and I don't sell anything.  You're misleading people with your false, and pathetic anecdotes, and I'm going to expose what you've done on other boards too.  You're a liar, and a deceiver.

I live in NY, period.  I don't know what your other nonsense is about.  I don't go by Eclipse, that's one of your weird fantasies.

Let's not move this.  You created an anecdote and left your distributors number and advanced that as proof, without telling anyone.  This is what you did, beyond a shadow of a doubt.  You're dishonest.  This isn't going to end here.  With your last post, which shows how little self-respect and dignity you have.

Also, don't paraphrase me, horseman.  You've got roughly half my IQ, if that, and misrepresented what I said.  Anyone that tries to sell something, based on deceit and lies, borders on criminal.  Then, tries to shift the conversation with speculation.  You are truly pathetic.

Nothing you've said is anything but a fabrication, what I said is proven here.  You can't tell the difference, can you?  All you are is smoke and mirrors.  Oh, and lies.

How many people have the chance to try several machines and testify to incremental improvements over production runs? How many of them aren't suppliers and industry insiders with affiliations that make them biased? I ask my suppliers for their opinions. I know they'll be biased, but I also know that they are motivated to steer me right. It's up to me to balance their bias against their expertise and make the best informed decision I can.

I've never done business with anyone on this board. I've never met anyone on this board. Nobody here is my buddy, my father-in-law, nor my partner in crime. I'm pretty unbiased about this. That said, why is it dishonest to publish a testimonial? Who cares if it comes from a distributor? Some people are so enthusiastic about slandering another's character that they'll overstate, gang up, and generally pat themselves on the back for being giant pricks all day long. G'job!

The point is that Mr Ed tried to present a testimonial that was his own creation, not from a real customer at all. I am speculating that he delegated you two Bozos to advocate his cause and come to his aid. The fact is, Mr. Tank or whoever he is, exposed Mr Ed in one of the most embarrassing internet extravaganzas that I have seen. Mr Ed hasn't any credibility and I always suspected that he was behind all the fake testimonials and forum supporters. He probably creates 10 aliases for every forum and they all say how good the Recoil is.

Oh. I thought the issue was that it was a distributor's testimonial. When was it revealed that he made it up? Did I miss it?

Really? I'm speculating about your medications.

I've been a member of lots of different kinds of forums. Arguments are common in all of them. Relative anonymity makes people brave, especially those who are timid and fearful in real life. No matter how heated it's been, no one has ever asked me to stick up for them. Anyway, I didn't "advocate his cause." I pointed out a criticism that didn't make any sense to me, then I explained myself simply. If I wanted to fly Ed's flag, I would've commented days ago.

I suppose that could all be true. I have no idea, and I see no benefit to speculating. As I've said, I opted not to buy a Recoil machine because I had never seen one in action and had several viable options immediately available through my local distributors. On the issue of credibility, all I can say is that Ed was a longstanding respected member on this forum when I joined about five years ago. He's always been respectful, helpful, and articulate in his posts. Compare his record on this forum to yours and a few others. You joined and immediately started trolling. What does that say about you?

Well said, Michael.  I sure am enjoying spending more time on other boards that this one lately.
