Between the RX-20, the Rotovac and the Hydramaster Drimaster Jetless Rotary Cleaner. I would say the Drimaster would be the easiest to handle. Although SGK back on the 19th of November was showing his teflon glides designed to fit and RX-20. Maybe these could solve your problem.

It's the side torch of the RX-20 and the dri-master that seem to raise
heck with my leg.

the power glide and the rotovac at least are on wheels and it is more of a
push- pull instead of a side torch.

time will tell.

RX is a bit more versatile and better in a commercial setting

but for residential the Rotovac is easier carry and haul around and tough to beat as far as cleaning.

What about the fact that the cleaning heads on the rotovac are seperate
and do not intertwine therefore leaving a line in between that doesn't get
cleaned unless you overlap. Is that a big issue a small issue or what??

that's one of the negatives I have heard sofar. about the Rotovac.

How long, under daily use conditions, could you expect to run one
without to many repairs??

A long time. Like the RX, it is built like a tank. My RSE is built the same way.

Not yet. The manufactuer that is making the machines for US distribution tells me that they are debuting in the Spring next April. I hope to have one at Teds shop for Demos for the next Demo Day in mid April. We should be able to demo it right along with Padman's Op machine in the parking lot. That will bring out the crowds. Maybe even you Mr. Steamer?

My preferred date for this is Friday, April 15th, as I am in the GTA that weekend for a wedding anyway.

Who knows; I may even have a Power-Dri system sold into the GTA by then that I could get to come down to the Demo Day and show you guys how 10 min carpet drying is done. It would hook right up to the RSE, then you would be able to see how it both pads and cleans carpet better than any other machine.

I have tested out a RDM also and the only thing i liked about it was its looks,  but maybe i didnt give it a fair chance? but i think it will work fine on carpets that are not soiled very bad.  Good Luck!

Dakota: It does work on carpet that is not very soiled. If I didn't have my RSE that can dry carpets in 10(Power-Dri) to 30 minutes(Pad Cleaning), and still do restoration type cleaning from the same machine, I would get one.

Go to icsmag.com click on the bulletin board ,do a search and you will find plenty of info .With all that I have read on there I think it would be in your best interest to go there. Not alot of favorable reviews.

Dakota: I know it does NOT work very well on very soiled carpet, nor was it designed to do that either. The RDM was designed to clean the tips of the carpet(the part you see) and not put much water onto the backing, where most wicking problems and longer dry times originate. It was always assumed that those that wanted to clean the carpeting with the high soil loads, would get the RX-20 instead. And that is exactly what most do.
