So, assistant or no assistant. I am trying to hire an assistant right now. Not going good but I think it will be worth it to find the right person...

In the loan business it took forever to hire and train Loan Officers. We would ask ourselves; Where are we going to be when this new hire learns the biz and leaves for another company?

We would answer with; But where are we going to be if we don't (hire and train employees)?

If you wanted to be a hard-a$$ you could probably have them sign a non-compete agreement. Let them know you aren't hiring and investing your training and exposing company secrets to have them run off and start their own company and be your direct competition...

Nobody leaves the business.  We invite them for a drive into the country to show our appreciation.

Signed,
