hi,

Is there some sort of solution to "coat" or wash white wool shag rugs in order to make them more durable to dirt? Our shag rug is placed in the living room and every time we have visitors it usually absorbs a lot of dirt, so it seems like these types of carpets need extra care when compared to dark shag rugs.

cheers,

Kelly p.

This is not 1980 why do you have shag?
Get it cleaned with DFC then protected.

A loose wool shag would be best cleaned by submerging it in a bath. It should be done by a professional.
