I'm positive about the negative...and negative about the positive.

If this product takes off and catches on in the public eye it will be dooms-day for our industry.

As you know most people don't even know that they have a soiled carpet. It's the ugly spots and stains that bother them. And, it's the major reason why they call a carpet cleaner.

With no spots or stains there will be virtually no need to frequently clean carpets and upholstery.

That's the negative side.

The positive side is how do you get your hands on this product to sell?

I am already thinking of the practical applications of this product Ted.

One that comes to mind is the gallons of water that typically are within a 100 ft length of 2" Vac hose when cleaning by TM. That water is there because it pools in the hose, restricting the available airflow. Coat the inside of the hose with this stuff and that problem goes away.

On the profit side however I see a better application. After cleaning the carpet in a house you apply this stuff instead of the scotchgard. It would allow the carpet to stay much cleaner because almost everything will come off it during normal vacuuming. The money is in being the guy that does the application. There will not be much money to be made from that house after that. But you could stay very busy doing the applications.

But I agree that our industry is in for a great contraction. Between this stuff and the likely Depression that is very likely to hit in September, alot of cleaners are about to feel the squeeze IMO.

Leave it to Ken's mind Money Smile to come up with great applications. You have opened the flood gates.

Most professional carpet cleaners wands always look so unprofessional as they rarely clean or wipe them down. Spray with this product and the issue will go away.

The inside of the hose idea is brilliant but don't stop there Ken. Dip the entire hose so the outside stays clean looking.

How about putting it on door knobs, toilet seats...the list goes on and on...

Keep stretching your mind Ken.

I was thinking of spraying in all over me, then after my shower I can just get dressed and save on towels . When I piss the bed it will just fall to the floor where my dog can lick it up. My grass will never get wet so it won't grow as fast, I can throw away my windshield wipers , and work in the rain. Mosquitoes won't stick & bite, and I can piss and sh*t in my pants at any time only to dump it out later. Great stuff..... where can I get some.

I retire in 4 1/2 to 9 1/2 years (depends on if I want to stop at 65 or 70) so I don't see new technology as a problem.  I am thinking more about my garden at this point in time.

If you still have 10 years to go maybe you need to think more about new technology...it can be easier on your old bones.

Perhaps some young 'new technology minded' guy will move in on your thinking and wipe you out.

When you spray that new Nano Technology stuff all over your body for 100% protection make sure you do not spray the part that you would normally treat for protection. That may open a whole new issue of slide & glide.

Now that I mentioned the word glide....it will bring Kenny to the table.

Actually Ken, how was Connections in Vegas last week? Fill us in on what's new.

I would change to the guy who applies it and then annually reapplies every year.  Surely this stuff wears off after time.  I don't walk on the tops of my shoes or some over-garment.   I walk on carpet fibers and friction will cut through anything.  Or should we start using it as a heat shield material?
