I'm seeing a lot of Mohawk's new SmartStrand carpet with a very noticeable grey tinge in traffic lanes, in front of couches and chairs, and under breakfast bars.

I'm struggling to get these areas clean.  I've tried a bunch of different traffic lane cleaners like Grime Release Pro and an oxidizing stain remover like Stain Zone.  I've tried scrubbing like crazy with the wand.  Nothing works.

Based on the location of these stains, I'm thinking they are caused by body oils trapping the dirt and not releasing from the fiber.

Anybody else having a similar problem?  Anybody have a solution?

Not sure if this will help, but I have had really good results with EnzAll by Chemspec... We are a Nursing home with carpeted dining ares just off of kitchens... a lot of oils and stuff gets tracked out. I hit it with enzall and no worries!

The problem is probably with he cleaning agents leaving a residue.
If you read the cleaning instructions for Smartstand they strongly suggest using detergent free cleaners.
Solvent based and surfactant based chemistries may be adsorbed by the fibers.
Try using DFC products

EdJ.....I can tell you exactly what to do and what to use, BUT...the whole board will be jumping all over me like Bloodthirsty bedbugs after a long dryspell . I can give you a hint or some sort of riddle if you like. But you have to figure it out.

If you are a hunter then you know what your Target is, if you are a shopper you know where your Target store is , your Target is closer than you think , & further than you know or realize. Look for the Target, it can be seen through High Winds, Snowstorms, Tornado's , Hurricane's , High Tides & Low Tides. Look at a Rainbow, the colours are the same, Look at your T.V it's all in the game.

The Tide has come in and Nightrider is standing on the beach soaking his feet and socks in it because it is cheap and smells good. What he does not know is that it will deteriorate and oxidize his feet and be costlier in the long-term.

But if he sprays his socks with the new Nano Technology his feet will never get wet.

Try Dinge Away from Pro's Choice.  It comes in white (works for all carpet), tan and grey (for those colors only).  I have seen videos of it working on spots like you described.  I know it is available here in the states, I don't know about Canada or Mars.

Oh yeah, Dinge Away.....I've seen it on Mars. I placed an order and the Curiosity Rover supposed to bring some back, but I don't think they 'll be making it back any time soon. So where can I get that stuff from in the states.

Wow.....I watched the video, I'm not sure that carpet was worth cleaning. Looked nice afterwards, but I wouldn't walk on it with bare feet. Thanks for the Link Soil Lint Green, but I don't feel that product is anything I would have use for. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
