Stanley:  I think you mean certifiable?  Just read the posts. Would a certified professional try to spread such crap and poison the minds of new people trying to get into this business.

NO, not certified, but DO take classes.

Don't need a piece of paper to tell me "if" I am a qualified cleaner.

No...not certified. Certifiable maybe but not certified. I was thinkingn about taking an IICRC course but almost all the ppll I have talked to inn this businenss say it's a waste of time and money. If I need help with something, I can usually find the answer somewhere onn the net or ask the question here. Believe me....there are plenty of ppl here that will be happy to share their knowlege.

Both my IICRC cards have expired and I have no intention of renewing them.  Now, don't get me wrong,  I definately did learn a lot from the classes and I would even recommend a new person take the courses but at the same time, since certification is not legally required for me to operate my business, I honestly do not see the necessity of keeping up my membership dues, especially since there aren't any real "benefits" (newletters, etc...).   Education about your industry is a great thing but I have learned most of what I know through hands on experience.
