Are you sure about your numbers there DLD........it doesn't sound right to me if it is a rinsing agent.

mr. master

do you use the F-77 to pre-spray or in your machine?
years ago i use to put formula 77 in my machine.

Many acid rinses are just slightly acidic.

I know Hugh's home brand is pH 1. Don't like the orange colour though.

We use Dupont's neutralizer/conditioner. Its very effective against soapy residues, thats what I'm concerned about more than anything.

Hey on dupont what is the pH?

I think the one I use is around 2

it's called "nacid"

I definitely don't define 1 as slightly acidic.

Hugh's being 1 is very unusual IMO.

We use acid rinses all the time to neutralize spotters and find the orange colour a problem when doing so.

9.8 pH.

LOL now we come full circle, your rinse is 9.8.

I still think its better to rinse with an acid.

I've tried both. I get much better cleaning results with an emulsifier

cmaster maybe the reason that you are doing nasties all the time is because your customer's carpets are turning nasty from all the surfactants left in the carpet from your emulsifier rinse.

Maybe it's because you don't have the right customers, Paul. I used to have the same problem a few years ago. I fired them all and replaced them with better customers.

Too bad they don't pay as well as the high end residentials. I have seen plenty of challenges there too BTW, but at least the pay for getting them clean again is much better.

They are pickier, thats for sure, and they follow you around the house too. I have to admit that I enjoy cleaning the rentals more myself too.

maybe it's my area but I find the upper middle classs to be willing to pay more,,,actually be willing to clear a path for you,,and far more likely to tip

empties are da bomb

might be more carpet to clean but I'm in I'm out I'm done

actually goes far quicker and I don't have to worry about booties, what chem's I use,,,how much I crank the heat on the machine and I don't have to move nuthin except my wand and hoses.

I'll take a set of keys to an empty house rather than knock on a snobby housewives house any day

but that's just me
