but 15% doesn't get the people calling...plus I never said it was a bad idea...I agreed with you..

actually I offered 20% off to all the repeat customers...so it put my room rate down to $20 a room...

this 1 room free will only be for new customers to try the service...

I did a small mailing of 180 homes giving them 1 room free...and to tell you the truth not many people took advantage of that....I think they think it's some sort of scam..

I got 2 calls and 1 negative feed back out of the 180 which I sent out.

Getting new customers is a challenge.....I just have to get into clean them...thats the only way I can win them over.

I just had a call this week.....they where so happy...I had drop cloths for miles ...I had an extra pair of shoes to change in...and I sealed up their door with a door sealer to keep the cold out while I worked..

they where impressed.

Doing small mailouts helps you test what will work from what won't work before you run a big ad of a few 100 thousand homes

Steamer like I said don't include steps in your specials. Tehy can be a money maker to makeup for what you are giving away? You cannot compete in the give away market? We very deldom ever get a price shopper. If someone wants us they book us?

It's my opinion from my short time in this business that the if you do a mailing there should be an offer to give them reason to act. However the offer does not take away from regular pricing but gives something in addition to regular pricing get the 4th room free or free protectant for every job over 4 rooms or clean one 3 seat couch get the chair done for free. The incentive is a good one but only kicks in with a substantial job. Just my idea.

I have a good customer base....but I want all the customers....a customer list of around 20 thousand customer is my goal.... for where I live that should be easy.

I do well...but I know companies like Sears does better...

in 2004 they made 750,000 off my area with 3 trucks 2 of them my trucks.

I want to make that...I know it can be made....I just don't have the powerful name yet.

or the budget to make it powerful...

1 full page YP ad
2 direct marketing every 2 weeks of 350K worth of homes

leave the rest to me...thats the cleaning

That sounded like a serious challenge NR. Its your perfect opportunity to prove your marketing points and as you know I don't subscribe to some of them. But when I hear some of the ways that Steamer thinks of his market place and how he is choosing to position himself in the market - you two have a lot in common.

If this is a serious gesture on both of your parts a whole bunch of us want to hear step by step how you are going to do it and a blow by blow of what kind of results you are achieving on a weekly basis.

GO FOR IT!!!

Get an old fire truck with one of those high-pressure nozzles - just blast it right through the front window. They will think the end is near and want to read the watchtower.

Cartpet is not like milk...250*f will kill bacteria...but where milk is cooled and then packaged right away ...carpet is not...

the wetness allows for new things to grow while carpet dries....pretty much all we do with steam cleaning is give them a fresh slate

Will friends or guests say... " I can't believe your home smells so fresh and clean!"
or will they THINK something else...

You get great smelling, fresh, clean carpets you can walk on in just hours. Then go ahead, take your shoes off and wiggle your toes in your soft and fluffy looks-like-new broadloom or area rugs.
Give your family the VERY BEST!
We attack the mites, germs, and dead skin they live on.

Protect your little ones who play on the floor by having Bravo rid your carpets and upholstery of the hidden and unseen dirt that lurks deep in them.

Are you or your loved ones sensitive to allergies? We extract nasty allergy causing pollens and spores, molds and mildews.

Prolong your carpet’s life. We can restore the fluffiness and softness of your carpets to that like-new look.

Clean carpets can repel dirt instead of attracting it by choosing the option of applying a carpet stain guard.

“I guarantee you will be totally pleased with your freshly cleaned and sanitized carpets and upholstery. I do the job right the first time.”
- Owner

I'm not finished until you’re happy!

You get the very best cleaning your Living Room, Dining Room and Hall ever had guaranteed for
only $199for up to 500 sq ft
(35¢ per sq ft for additional area – extraordinary special charges RARELY apply)
Includes:        Vacuuming
              Pre-spotting
           Preconditioning
                Sanitizing
                Deodorizing
               Deep Steam Cleaning
               Final Rinse and Grooming

When was the last time you had your upholstery cleaned? We do that too!

That's a substantial commitment to spreading the word about your carpet cleaning business. $10,000 can make quite the splash in the advertising pool. Deciding on specific advertising platforms and strategies can be challenging. Some people prefer a diversified approach. It's always fascinating to hear how different businesses allocate their advertising budgets.
