i was just reading another post a person made that they quote .20 per sq foot for a surface clean or .35 for a deep clean. Is this standard in the industry? Do you use a diffrent process? More processes? Or just take more time to do a good job versus a bad job?

I wasn't sure what that post meant either. However, if you're going to pull out any type of rotary device, that would be extra time and money for most people.

I made that Post and I don't Bait and switch.I was stating that if someone wants a rotary clean it will be extra money for time and labor.I only have 250 psi.So I can't deep clean with just my porty.I explain everything to my customers before hand.Sometimes a regular wand won't clean heavy soil in carpets. As a result I have to deepclean with the scruber, which is labor and time so I have to charge more. It's $20per room for steam cleaning and $35 for rotary scrub.

I am with DeepScrub.  I have a LIGHT (meets IICRC guidelines of steps and processes), RIGHT (that is using GREEN chemicals) and MIGHT (rotary scrubber for agitation and ROTOVAC for cleaning).  Some customers want the whole enchilada and I am willing to accommodate.  I am here for the customer and if they believe that all that extra work will make a difference in their minds eye who am I to argue?  But I do think that almost double the regular price is too low.  Kick up the price and you might increase the perceived value in the customers analysis.
