Bought it from FixUpr!

It works great and has excellent power! The Mytee Hot heater in the deal works great too! I know some of you might say "big deal" but I'm excited!  My Rotovac package gets here tomorrow and I'll get familiar with all my equipment cleaning a few rooms in my home.

One thing I'm wondering, (if anyone knows)...when using autofill can the back pressure in the water line cause leaks in residential plumbing???  That's my concern because I don't want to use it if it does.

Perhaps you know Superglide Ken Smile

I am a few months into the ride you are about to hop into. Let me give you some advice: Market the snot out of your business
CLEAN YOUR PORTABLE OUT EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU USE IT! Less you make the customers house smell like feces.
Save up for a truckmount-its easier on you and more professional.
Dont give up.

The water back pressure is still there when you turn off your faucet.  No there is no extra backpressure caused by hooking up to your Mytee.

Thanks for the responses!

Got my Rotovac package Thursday!  Last night I used it with the Mytee M5 and it worked great! I got good hot water from the Mytee Hot 200-120 and the Rotovac Powerwand is a great machine! A new feature on the Rotovac includes a gate valve on the water/solution line to control how much you use. I did one bedroom in my hose and the carpet looks great!

I'm working on my set up and breakdown so when I get started my methods are smooth and proffessional not fumbling and bumbling...LOL!

ONWARD!

Rotovac runs a small discussion forum of their own.  The link is on the Rotovac home page.  Don't forget to get involved there as well.

Are you in a high paying business or are you just a self employed low paid grunt who thinks this business provides dignity?

Come on Steaminpile, that machine can't be any heavier than what you have been bench pressing with those Olympic weights!!!!

I have heard that you have arms like Popeye!!!!

I recently got an M5 for high rise and lock-in work.  The thing sucks like a TM.  I'm using 2" hose and my standard 14' Greenhorn wand on it that I use on the Judson TNT.

The only thing I miss is the heat from the TNT/Little Giant #4.  The other thing about the M5 is its like lugging around a portable dishwasher - it's really heavy.

I know what you mean about the connections. The quick connect idea is a good one.

Does anybody have a link showing the M5. I'm curious.

You will want to look under the sink once the autofill stops! Sometimes the water pressure causes leaks in the lower plumbing. Ahhhh!!

It happened to me a few times. Ahhhh!!

CleanBean,

Im in the same boat as you.  I found a mytee m5, with a air hog heater, and the 240 water heater, all for a great price.  im going to pick it up.

now that you've used your m5 a few times, what do you think?  good machine? have you gotten a water heater or vac booster yet?

also, being a newbie, what have you done to grow your business?  what kind of marketing have you implemented?

i appreciate all responses (espcially to the marketing).  i can tell you what i plan on doing here in the next few weeks...

The M5 is a GREAT machine and a work horse! I got a Mytee Hot 200-120 in the deal too. It's a great heater and it keeps up with me. No vac booster needed yet. with my M5 i can run up too 100' and still have good performance. Once I ran 150' and I had to do more dry stroking but  I clean at 200 psi most of the time so drying time was about 6 hours.

My business is kinda stiffled because I'm working with my M5 more for my boss than for myself, he runs two TMs.  I'm about to change that and focus on my business especially since spring is coming! He'll have to sub contract me work because I gotta get out on my own. The jobs I've done with under my business my custy's were REALLY pleased!

Stick with it EGEE...that M5 is a monster...one of the best out there. Cool

I do regular employee pay John...by my choice. My boss took me on when I really screwed my self in a prior profession. He taught and introduced me to the carpet cleaning industry. That helped me stay on my feet so in working for him now with my machine is my appreciation to him.

Soon I'll be subcontracting under him with my business and then things will be different. We're in the early stages of that.

From what I can tell looking at my M5, the thing is so heavy because has auto pump out which adds another to the pump weight and more plumbing,  and I think it has Mytee's largest vac motors.

I hauled it up a flight of stairs to a 2 floor apt last Sat by myself. At 55 that was a HAUL!Dead
