A customer called and said they spilled bolsomic vinegar on cream colored carpet.  She didn't know what type of carpet it is.  I've never heard of this stuff, but she says it's black.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help. What is this stuff?  I'll just treat it as normal soil.

Dennis,

Your taste buds have been deprived.

Balsamic vinegar has been produced in the Modena district of Italy for hundreds of years. It is a blend of wine vinegars and grape must, which normaly extracts out without problem.

However some cheaper varieties also contain colourants that can prove problematic and may require resorting to an oxidant to remove the last traces.
