For more than a year Shaw has internally and externally evaluated your cleaning machine. During internal tests at Shaw's Technical Service Laboratory, the machine performed (cleaning and extracting) well. We recently purchased a Steamin Demon high-flow extractor, and I would like to share my comments. We currently maintain several hundred thousand square feet of commercial carpeting on routine maintenance programs. We had been using truckmounts, portables, bonnet and dry powder extraction systems. The purchase of our first Steamin Demon renders some of these systems obsolete. This high-flow extraction system is by far the best equipment I have ever used for removing dry particle, nonsoluble soils from carpeting. Its unique 11" vacuum draw provides us with consistent drying times of between 2-1/2 and 4 hours. On long hallways, only the bonnet can match the speed of this machine. Our labor savings alone should allow this machine to pay for itself. Exceptional performance and fast drying times are added bonuses.Truly a unique piece of equipment. Keep up the good work.

Let me start by telling you that when I first saw the machine I was very skeptical. It looked like something I would hook-up to one of my truckmounts. Then I was asked to test the machine and give my opinion. Boy was I impressed! I now own one and I personally use it every chance I get. The more you use the machine, the more you realize it is a well thought-out piece of equipment that does a good job.... In my opinion the Steamin Demon works better for water damage than one of my truckmounts.... Our industry needs good quality machines like this.

When I was vice president of Certified International, I was so impressed with the Steamin Demon's cleaning performance that I approached Mike Downey with the idea of selling it under the Certified name. We sold many units over a two-year period. I personally sold over two dozen machines to professional cleaners before I retired in 1998. For 35 years I sold carpet care equipment and I never saw a machine that could sell as well as the Steamin Demon. It meets about all the requirements needed for a successful carpet cleaning job: dwell time for detergents, incredible flushing action, and superior extraction for fast drying. My cleaning experience with this type of machine (less the high water flow) began in 1973. Although fibers, chemicals and customer preferences have changed greatly, the Steamin Demon has marched along in the forefront of effective technique. I purchased my first Steamin Demon about three years ago. Since then I have purchased two more. They work very well and have a special place within the company. I also have truckmounts and portables, but there are a lot of times when our Steamin Demons make it a lot easier for us. They are easy to use, quick to set up, very light to carry, and do water extraction great! The Steamin Demons have been a big asset to our company.
