Centaur
Interceptor
Dust Collector |
The Interceptor is NOT
a vacuum cleaner. It has NO motor in it.
It is a mobile dust
collector that filters the incoming air and separates
the dust with the help of an ordinary vacuum cleaner which
is attached to it. The separated dust then
packaged into an ordinary garbage bag.
If the dust is a fine type such as concrete, carbon or wood
dust the filter will be chocked or plugged during this
separation causing to be useless.
The Interceptor is capable
of self cleaning its filter, dislodging dust cake
which has accumulated on it. When the dust cake is thick
enough it's indicator light flashes,
notifying the operator to clean the filter. Without shutting
off the vacuum cleaner, the operaotr uses a lever to open
the flute in the chimney which let the
atmospheric air pressure BURST into the unit. This
action cleans the filter and the operation can be continued.
The Interceptor can be used
with ANY vacuum cleaner. We recommend using a vacuum cleaner
with a HEPA filter. While it's juge filter will retain all
particles to 1 micron, the HEPA filter will stop the rest.
