I want to bring you up to date on some results that I have found
quite fascinating. We have been working with many professional
carpet cleaning services to test ECOgent2 Carpet Cleaner and we
have also been monitoring carpet maintenance after cleaning in
consumer applications. The results have been truly remarkable --
ECOgent2 is proving to have some very unique capabilities and
recurring benefits.
First, the initial cleaning of carpets has been excellent, with
contractors reporting a significant improvement in consumer
satisfaction. Some were surprised that many days after carpets
where cleaned, several of their customers took the time to call
to comment on their satisfaction. But what was totally
unexpected was the fact that carpets cleaned with ECOgent2 dry
vacuumed repeated to a freshly cleaned look for many weeks and
even months after being cleaned.
We know that cleaning with ECOgent2 does not contribute to

is especially noticeable in light colored carpets and in stain
removal.) We did not anticipate, however, that it would provide
this recurring benefit with every vacuuming.
How does ECOgent2 do this? We know that ECOgent2’s all natural
ingredients impart a very soft after-cleaning feel to carpets.
We also know that ECOgent2 does not dry to a powder residue.
Rather, a small amount of the product seems to be temporarily
absorbed in the carpet fibre itself. This microscopic film
allows dry soils that accumulate in the carpet to be more
effectively removed with subsequent vacuuming.
Most professionals have insisted that leaving a powder residue
is a desirable property in a carpet cleaner, in order to prevent
rapid carpet re-soiling. But owners and occupants are now much
more concerned with the impact of residues from cleaning
products in terms of their VOC emissions and generation of
airborne particles, which can adversely affect occupant health.
In fact, many individuals with chemical hypersensitivity or dust
allergy have been encouraging property managers and employers to
remove all carpets, since many carpets have become reservoirs
for indoor air pollutants.
Now with the use of ECOgent2 and an effective carpet maintenance
program, building managers can boast of carpets that always look
freshly cleaned and that are much more free of the indoor
contaminants that otherwise tend to accumulate in carpets,
all with routine thorough vacuuming.
