George Fortounas is a Danforth Ave. landlord in Toronto, Canada, who has
found ECOgent useful for solving chemical sensitivity problems in an
apartment building. "ECOgent is a tool that I use as a landlord to make the
health of my tenants paramount," said George recently after switching to
ECOgent from conventional cleaners. "It is something I needed to make their
lives a little easier."
Like others, George at first had very little knowledge about volatile
organic compounds.Then one of his tenants returned from a health conference
and asked him to use VOC-free products in maintaining the apartment
building. When he tried it, the tenants were happier, including those with
chemical sensitivities and asthma. Others in the building are now trying
ECOgent within their own apartments, which will further improve indoor air
quality in the building for those with health problems. George is pleased:
"As a landlord I try to set an example for the rest of the tenants."
George uses ECOgent for various cleaning tasks within the building,
including floors and windows and carpet cleaning. "The carpet came out
cleaner than with other solutions." |
