The New Maxx 450, 450D and 470
The
Hydramster Tradition of leading the
industry in the development of new carpet cleaning
equipment and technology continues with the new Maxx
450, 450D and Maxx 470. These new units offer incredible
performance features while maintaining Hydramaster's
reputation of building rugged reliable systems that
are easy-to-use and simple-to-maintain.
Daihatsu
Industrial Engines power both the Maxx
units. Built by Toyota, these cast iron, water cooled
motors have a worldwide reputation of long lasting,
dependable service. The Maxx 450 uses a 3-cylinder
23.5 horsepower motor to turn a Tuthill 4005X blower, while
the 470 uses a 31-horse engine coupled to a Tuthill
4007X
blower. Both motors have a 3 speed electronic governor
for ease of operation and improved fuel economy.
Maxx
Heat Systems Technology sets a new standard
for performance and reliability. Operating
temperatures up to 250°F are generated by a
multi-stage system. The system captures heat from the
blower and engine exhaust and the engine cooling
system. Unlike units that control heat by dumping
water into the waste tank, the Maxx series has ADC, a
Hydramaster exclusive that electronically controls the
amount of exhaust gases sent through the catalytic
converter heat exchanger. The result is a very high
volume/high temperature system that doesn't waste
recovery tank capacity. The Hydramaster designed, cast
stainless steel diverter valve at the heart of the
system is built heavy duty for dependable long-life
operation.

a new technician is simplified with a Maxx
Performance Series System. Designed to be easy to read
and use, the units have an attractive dash with a 10
light status panel. The status panel shows the
operation of various machine systems and helps to
quickly trouble-shoot problems like a full recovery
tank or interrupted fresh water supply.
An
extra large 100 gallon recovery tank is
standard on the Maxx. Constructed of marine grade
aluminum, the tank features a reversible lid (for side
or back door installation), a new high efficiency
vacuum relief valve, and a stainless steel lint
basket. The basket is easy to remove and clean making
daily maintenance less of a chore. An optional,
externally mounted, high capacity belt driven pump-out
system is available.

ADC Diverter Heat Control System
The Maxx Performance Series uses an exclusive new heat
system technology that controls temperature without
dumping hot water into the waste tank. Coupling a
thermostat to an actuator, temperature is controlled
by opening and closing the stainless steel diverter
valve. Solution temperature can be varied between
160°F to 250°F or turned off for flood restoration.

Patented Chemical Pulse Pump
Designed by Hydramaster Engineers, this long life pump
will still be working after others have failed. This
Last-Step Chemical System is equipped with a special
heavy-duty diaphragm. The pump is built to withstand
high pressures and high temperatures and still operate
smoothly. When it does need service, the robust 3
piece pump housing is easy to dissemble and repair.
Race
Car Components on Your Truckmount
No one wants to stop in the middle of a job and fix a
broken or loose belt. That's why Hydramaster uses a
Poly-Chain & Sprocket Drive to connect the motor
to the blower, just like those found on high
performance race engines. Poly-Chain Belts have an
extraordinary long life and never slip and lose power
like standard belts.

externally-mounted positive displacement pump,
