Try to get them to clear everything out..... I always say"the more carpet I can see ...the more carpet I can clean"

talk about wood rust...and mold growth... that is always a good deterrent

I move very little... couches always but not too much more

well of course I try to get them to move it,but it doesn't always happen.

 

charge a few cents a sq. ft. more

 

just have to move it the width of the piece of furniture,put it back and put tabs or blocks underneath.

furniture sliders are our friend

Please forgive my newbie question, but i was wondering if any of thecarpet cleaners out there are moving furnitiure or simply charging morefor their time to do it. Do you request the homeowner to move it priorto your visit? or do you move it then replace it afterwards? Anyincrease in price?

I'm trying to come up with some time saving factoids to write into mycarpet cleaning business plan and would be interested in any and allrecommendations or experiences.
