they don't shut you down they just freeze your accounts and you can't cash a cheque.  but if you go in and see them they will allow you to give them post dates and open things up again.but if you fall behind again they cut you nuts off.

We keep a seperate account for GST and EI this way my greedy little fingers don't get in there and steal some of the governments money.  The account can only be used for taxes and deductions.

It is extremely important to show continuity in paying. You can be short and catch up later, no one would be the wiser. Yah and that's why REV CAN does not have a collection department because nobody keeps the money to use elsewhere.

Why should anyone be slow in paying the G.S.T, you either pay it every month, every 3, every 4, or twice a year

You collected it, so you should have the money.......only a freakin idiot would keep the money to use elsewhere.

How the heck can they shut you down, this is all nonsense

Do you know of any small contractors who got shut down by Canada Revenue Agency for being a little slow in paying GST?  

If they close you down, how do they expect to get paid?
