People don't care as long as you can get it LOOKING CLEAN...but chem dry can't even do that...
 
I had a lady I cleaned just this week 3 areas and a hall...$85 bucks...chem dry did it last time for 300....and she said it looked more dirty...
 
chem dry gives all cleaners a bad name...the customer becomes affraid to call any carpet cleaning service...
 
she loved my job by the way...and I already got a referal from her

Thank you fibro for sharing this info with us. It certainly has created quite a fuss within our industry.
 
It really all comes down to giving a prospective value to your customers once they see and smell the presumed cleaned carpet. We within the industry get all hung up on bigger, better, stronger, more knowledge etc., calling ourselves professionals when our customers simply look at us as some one washing their rug. We are really only one step above a janitor in the minds of most of our customers.
 
Most of my life I was a professional magician and a high school teacher making enough money to get by but I had awesome respect. As a cleaner some people did not want to even shake my hand.
 
We are all like Rodney Dangerfield...as a cleaner my bank account gave me respect.
