Microsplitters are detergent-free - far from increasing detergent sales their benefits have actually reduced the sale of detergents to carpet cleaners.

'First generation' microsplitters are bases on sodium tripolyphosphate and are used as pre-conditioners, applied direct to the carpet, then rinsed with plain hot, warm or cold water.

They are also much more cost-effective than detergent-based cleaners.

It's detergent free cleaning. Here's something i copied and pasted from a UK site, there's a few different ones on the market over here.
I'm suprised that none of you guys had heard of it.

Dilutes 60:1 for maintenance cleans, 30 - 40:1for restoration cleans. 15 - 30:1 for upholstery cleaning. 20 – 40:1for bonnet cleaning.

For best results, use as a pre-spray, thenagitate using a pile brush or preferably a suitable contra-rotatingbrush or rotary machine (see below). Then extract with fresh water, orfor better results Chemspec DFC 105. Also excellent for bonnetcleaning.
