| Hi ppl , i am about to start calling around for a part time job in the scarborough area, and wanted to know who the major carpet cleaning companies are so i can phone them up to try to get some work.... so far i have service master , mainline, and sears does anybody have any others. I would like the company im dealing with to be fairly big so that its not a hassle to get paid lol. Or even if you may know small reputable (reputation being good) companies that would be great. |

| I don't know your area at all, but I do know that most "big" companies are just franchised. That means a big name with little guy issues. Just interview well, and it shouldn't be a problem. By that, I mean that they aren't just interviewing you; you're interviewing them. Be open and professional about your concerns and expectations, and you should be able to separate the good from the bad. |

What part do you want to learn? Servicemaster= systems and marketing
Sears=upsell, upsell, upsell
Mainline=operations systems extraordinaire

| Hi ppl so recently i just got a job with a cc company, yesterday was my first day starting, well the guy never showed up neither the supervisor nor the tech. nobody called me ...today i got an email saying that training is cancelled and the postion was filled internally ...BS!. I think they got turned off with the fact i already have a fulltime job , in the inerview the guy couldnt believe that i wanted to be a carpet tech ..hes an office worker, like me. FUG! lol just venting what BS! |

Check out Painting Co's... They probably pay more and it's alot easier work....
Whatsmore, If you decide to start your own Biz, You can make as much $$$... and less investment for your equiptment...
It's all in the Marketing and high quality work you do...
