Just got in from cleaning a job(7:30)...got there at 4pm.....

Empty RENTED house.... guess what??? need a vac real real bad..
bad stains everywhere...
 
They want it vac'd but they don't want to pay extra...ok it I thought it's a $200 job... I could give a quick vac...
 
HERE IS WERE I LOOSE IT......I'm almost finished ...it's 6 pm...and the customer has taken off no where in sight...FFFFFFFFFFF you see kay!!!!!
 
He didn't even tell me he was leaving...just up and left while I was on the last room..
 
call him at 6:15 when I was finished...he said he's be back in 5mins
 
 
he didn't get back until 7PMAngryAngryAngryAngryAngryAngry
 
I know some people charge for waiting...do any of you????and if you do how does the customer handle it!!!
 
I wanted too sooooooooooo badAngry

Either wait and get paid or leave the bill and wait? I usually call people just before I am done cleaning. It looks he stuck it to you on this one?

What a a-hole. Like doug...I usually call them up 30mins. before Im done (sometimes they still take their sweet ass time gettin back!!). Luckily that doesnt happen too often to me.

 Play his game! Charge $ premium up front for non- owner occupied residential cleaning.(Activation Fee).  Make it clear ; for the next booking there will be a  premium. It will justify for your time when having to wait! You charge just to show up! Just like Bell !Smile

Always get paid upon arival at vacants, then if they decide to go to the hardware store or what every you wont have to wait. If they are not planning on stiffing you, they wont mind.
 
No checks on vacants either, especially move outs, unless it is a customer we have a good pre existing relationship with.

 I always tell them, when there going
to leave 4 a few minutes, that I'll be
done about 1/2 hour sooner then I will be!LOL
It's been working so far!

Unless you know that customer, get paid first, Before you allow them to leave. If they don't like those terms, tell them to get someone else. If you don't do that, don't complain when you have to wait, cause when they have the money, you will wait, or not get paid. Some do this on purpose, hoping you have somewhere else to be.That way, you never get paid.
