how long had the engine been running????? if it was running and is hot...then just right.... if you just started it and the engine was cold...then way too loose

Those belts reminded me of my one Bruin IIs all I did was put new belts on it?

if they are too tight when hot..you will smell burning

I have over 3000 hours on one of my 405's and still look good. I used to get about from 2 to 6 hundred hours on the Bruin IIs

I like the fact that you have your manifold wrapped...keeps the heat away from the belt
