I am new to the board. I am looking to add carpet cleaning to my residential cleaning service in CHicago. We have small units here with some carpet, upholstered chairs and sofas and I would like to add this service because no offense...I can't find a reliable carpet cleaner to refer business to...So what machines are good-bad, etc...what should I know, how much should I pay someone, etc. I would really appreciate any help any one has. Thanks!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sparklequeen

Welcome to the forum............what exactly are your small units..........are you looking for a portable for a women or man to manage?  There are so many different units now............it is a loaded question that you are asking. In what range would your budget be.  Start with that and then see what best unit you can afford to have. Smile

Thank you for asking me questions to help identify what I may need. I have no idea what the machines cost, so I am willing to invest $3000. The units that we clean are about 800-1500sf, but there are also a number of requests for upholstery cleaning. I would like a woman to be able to handle the machine if needed, but I am not opposed to having a man manage the carpet cleaning      Thanks for the help.
