Hi,
I'm new around here.  This is my 2nd post.  Anyway, I've been operating a Bonnett cleaning company for 7 years.  Before that i worked for a Chem Dry outfit.  I used to have alot of Condo accounts down here in Florida but with the new Dri-master  tool the steam cleaners are now using, employee turnover ect ect I've decided to start using a portable to get some new accounts.  I have a EDIC Galaxy Extracter 250 PSI with heat and a Power-Flite Brush/wand and I'm getting a Powerflite downdraft air blower-room dryer to speed up drying time.  I'm confused over Steam cleaning chemicals.  I know alot of cleaners use a Pre-Spray and run An Acid rinse through the Extractor.  Some use a pre spray and a detergent in the extractor.  Wouldn't that just be soap on top of soap?  How can all that soap rinse out?  For now I plan to use a Pre-Spray and rinse with an Acid Rinse or rinse with DFC.  Is it possible or even wise to use a Detergent as a Pre-Spray and rinse with Acid Rinse?  Any Thoughts?

Barry

Looks like 4 to me

Quality pre sprays(ProChem Ultrapac) and extraction detergents(Prochem Dry Slurry) or emulsifiers are made to work together and leave minimum residue. For cleaning results, you will not find a better combination IMO.

Some people use Dry Slurry as a p/s and emulsifier. They say it works well. I have never tried it.

IMO you will not achieve ultimate results with a p/s and a/r combination, considering you are using a portable.

Which DFC product are you referring to? 105, 210 or HD?

Prochem , chemspec ,bridgepoint all really really good cleaning products, wont go wrong with any of them IMO. For residentual carpet you need to use a good enzyme based presray and rinse with a good detergent extraction power/liquid for the best results.

Guys,

I'm going to use  Prochem detergent and Prespray.  Is it good to after spray an acid rinse and use the Wand to Vac it up after rinsing with the detergent or am I just adding uneeded steps?
