Has anybody driven behind one of these "trips"
I was on my way back from Kingston and was only 1 km behind the lead cars. I had no idea why everybody was on the over passes till I turned on the 680 news channel. Let me tell you, when you see it IT IS pretty damn powerful!!! |

Highway of Heroes
Thursday, August 23, 2007 A stretch of highway in Ontario that has been the well-travelled route for funeral processions for most of the Canadian soldiers killed in Afghanistan may be renamed in their honour. Premier Dalton McGuinty is considering naming the 172 kilometers of the 401 between Trenton and Toronto, "Highway of Heroes." The bodies of our soldiers killed overseas arrive at CFB Trenton, then are placed in a motorcade for the trip to Toronto, where an autopsy is performed. The route has often been lined with ordinary Canadians paying tribute. The website to sign a petition is available at www.petitiononline.com |

If good things can be changed because of an up and coming Election........I say bring it on. If an name of a highway can sway your decision to vote for an a**hole than I say you must be 18.

Almost 70 dead. Canadians again doing the tough work when asked. The highway should absolutely be renamed. I would be on an overpass if i knew when it was going to happen. |
