I am ready to upgrade my business and stop using portables. I am considering a portable/truckmount. Primarily, the Prowler from Amtex. Does anyone have any experience with these types of machines? I cannot invest 20,000.00 in a van but could afford a few thousand for one of these machines to put in the bed of my truck. Please help because I am sick of shuttling water with all my portables....Thank You (great website BTW)

With the amount of repoed tms around one should be able to find some kind of deal.  don't save a little now to spend alot later. think this out before you waste your hard earned money.  You may have better luck posting this on the tm thread.Guitar

Don't do it! I bought one and it SUCKED! (and not in a good way). Might as well just use a portable. Either go for it or not.

I saw a van/unit on jondon.com for $6,000. I'd go for that over a portable truckmount. Those things are HEAVY and don't clean for sh*t! Forget about loading it and unloading it into your van and it won't run anything more than 100 ft. of hose.

Trust me. I had one. Took it back and screamed and bitched until I got a store credit and bought a brand new truck mount.

Doug;

I don't know if it is proper or correct on this board to mention a suggestion if it directly relates to a possible "sale" of a product. Especially since this product is our own.

However, since you asked, I will make a suggestion as an answer: Please look at our RECOIL-3 XPS  "2nd-Generation" System. It just might amaze you in a very positive way!

The very best;

I too used electric portables for many years without any trouble for both commercial and residential properties. Worked fine and often made over $10,000/mo or more with it. Knowing how to market is your greatest challenge to making money, not what you clean with.

In the UK the 'Prowler' portable TMs are quite popular, partly down to good distributor support. Whilst the lack of a waste tank and descent airflow raises a few eyebrows, it's goy to be a better bet than even the best elec. portable. IMO Tongue

Its not so much the machine but the man behind it. With that said , if you get great results with a portabable then you would be dangerous in a good truck mt.

With a good truck mt you would use less chemical and be able to do more jobs with less fatigue.
