  Just starting to get interested in the carpet cleaning business. I currently live in Kaui, Hawaii building homes here on the North Shore. However, between jobs I have recently realized the major demand in carpet cleaning service. Wanted to get into the business and wanted some experienced and professional advise on what equipment I should go with. Have a starting budget of $10,000-12,000 and was thinking about a good reliable Truck Mount. Probably thinking to put the truck mount into an enclosed trailer and tow behind the truck. Anyone with any good advice would be great. Have seen some good looking machines on ebay with around 500 hours for the 10,000-12,000 price range. Another concern is the maintenence. are most truck mounts pretty straight forward with repairs or do machines like prochem or others need to go to the manufacture dept for repairs. Not likely to be much carpet cleaning repair specialists on the islands.
