Everything is dangerous these days. I can poke my eye out with a pen but they still sell pens. Rust remover with ingredients of Hydrofloric acid in gel form will make the rust gone in seconds. We put a little down and rub it in with a little brush. Carpet clean the stuff up in a minute or two. You wont die I promise. Ive used it for 23 years and I think Im fairly normal.

Try the T-RUST, Ive used it for a very long time and its safe and not that costly. Ive never had a rust spot not come out with it, it works great. Just always remember to rinse good with anything.

The ingredient you are taking about is Amyl Acetate. Works great and it is in many manufactured spotting formulas.

The negative side is it is very heavy on toxic odor and now that you have told the world about it on the www, your customers may no longer need you for their spotting chores.

Ps....The new generation of oil, ink, grease, gum etc...spots and stain removers are liquid gels.

Gels sit on top of your carpet doing the job as opposed to a liquid that wants to instantly flow to the backing and attack the carpet glues that hold the carpet together and damage the urethane on the hardwood.

Because the gel sits up on the stained carpet and does not flow, one bottle will last three to five times longer than a liquid solvent spotter, offering you a very economical product. Many are on the market, our suggestion is Core Unbelievable Citrus Gel.

There's definitly no need to use anything toxic anymore. There's products out there now that'll do anything.

I use a product called 'Winning Colors'. Been using it for the last year.

You can get it at Color Your World, or Canadian Tire. $10 bottle lasts me about a month. It'll get most common spots out too, ink, food and drink spots. Even paint, and it loosens up gum.

The active ingrediant in it is banana oil. Smeels great too. Customers love it.

IT is non-toxic, and bio-degradable. And it gets out rust almost every time.

That's what I've been using for the past year. No complaints. Before that, I used Wink, which works great, but it touches skin, the tingling begins, and you better get yourself to a sink pronto! T-Rust works just as well.

You also take the chance that you leave a bottle on site at a residence and forget after several jobs where you left it. if it get used by the customer and they rub it in with their fingers or worse yet a child gets hold of it ....Bad News . I eliminated it from my arsenal about 10 years ago..... and recommend you do likewise.

Any company with workers is in risky territory with having Hydrofluoric acid
in the hands of someone who may not know the dangers.
I use Chemspec Rust remover GREAT JOB!

If you don't rinse H.A. out it will reactivate when it gets wet. Oxalic acid is a safer alternative. H.A. is serious.
