I like videos Ted. Now that your store has Superglides selling for only $99, maybe you could put one together of someone pushing a Superglide equipped wand with only 2 fingers? It woulde get the point across about "working smarter, not harder".

YES

But don't throw away the mop as of yet as it will still be handy in corners and awkward areas.

You will also see a video coming next month on the 360 washing, stripping and drying hard surface floors.

So I can use the 360 to strip the floors,,,,,and it will extract the liquid stripper from the floor eliminating the need for mops and buckets????

I am also a promoter of John's OP Cleaning Machines. But hearing your predicament and knowing the type of soil you will be expected to remove you need extraction plus the need to dispose of the soil safely and quickly.

Having pads with this type of soil in them hanging around until laundering is not a good practice. Since you are planning on purchasing a Roto Floor Scrubber you could follow through with your original plan.

Purchasing the new Rotovac 360 will surely solve your carpet problems and greatly reduce your manual labour on cleaning hard surfaces and floors. The 360 will offer you deep-down carpet cleaning, wash floors, strip floors, grout, and polish floors greatly eliminating mops, buckets and pails.

Yeah, op or bonnet. A floor scrubber can be used for bonneting, although I'd recommend a dual speed so you can choose between 175 and 300. I have a Hawk dual-speed buffer. It's warranteed for 5 years for use on carpet. Read warrantees on buffers carefully regarding their use on carpet.

Pre-srubbing with the buffer then extracting often works well--I just did that today, followed by buffing with a polyester pad then a cotton pad--but I wouldn't bother extracting the glue-down stuff. Go bonnet or op.

Seeing that you are in Louisville, your very best bet to get those carpets clean is to buy an OP machine from John Geurkink of Carpet Care Systems. He is less than 100 miles away from you and would likely come down to you and give you a demo of his equipment. His machines cost around $2000 but beat most HWE machines easily in their performance.

Do a search on this board under "OP" and you will find lots of info to tell you and show you how this works.

I am not a carpet cleaner, but I do "rehabs" for a large property management co. that deals in section 8 apartments.

The Co. wants me to do the carpets also so I bought a wand system and a extractor.

The problem is that most of the carpets are glue down and in very bad shape. The wand barely make a dent in these carpets!!!

I have been reading the post about Rotocac and rotary brushes.

My question is this:

I also have to strip floors so I am going to buy a 175rpm floor scrubber.

Would my best option be to buy a carpet brush for the floor scrubber, use the solution tank and scrub the carpets, then use the wand and extractor to suck out the water???

Or should I bite the bullet and buy a rotart like a RX20 or rotovac???

My business is only 6 months old so of course I am tight on money!!!
