It is somewhat tempermental at times, but I keep up with the preventative maintenance. I love it for the heat because I do a lot of greasy restaurants. I can run the temp between 240-250f all night long with no problems, and I don't have to tell you what those temps do to dirt and grease!! The burner tip change seems to have worked because I'm getting insane heat with the RX-20 again.

It could need a filter and burner tip change. It also may be burning a little rich. I think there is also a flow control that ignites the burner on demand when you use water check it also.
