I'm thinking about using closed-cell spray foam, but I'm open to suggestions. Gotta keep the equipment and myself warm during those freezing jobs.

And what about sealing gaps? Any tricks you've picked up to make sure that cold air stays outside where it belongs?

Also, ventilation. How do you balance insulation and airflow? I have always had my vans sprayed. But you are not insulating a freezer what is this garbage fill in every crack?? I think who ever said that is on crack??

What does " Door the Floor " mean ?....Never heard that one before
 
I would check with your auto insurance company before applying tar as an insulant...........it is highly flamable and might not even be legal.

better to tar it and then rubber it with thick rubber
