cmaster, I might mention, Im real new at this, I own a very small residential cleaning company, we do house cleaning along with a monthly filter and light bulb service, and I in no way claim to be a carpet cleaner. this is just something that more and more has been asked of us as our client list has grown. so we are trying to get started. so please excuse my ignorance on things.

 

I have been reading as much as possible and have done a few jobs this week. (didnt pre spray) so I went to my local vac shop where I bought my chem. and asked them to suggest a pre-spray, now the guy may have fed me a line , but what he tells me is "I have used gone and it has worked great" but after i got home with it I started looking into it, because to me if it's a pre-spray it would say "pre-spray" but again who am I but a newbie so I took what he said at face value.

 

no loss if it wont work, so I now own a great big bottle of spotter......chalk it up to lesson learned I suppose. but just outta curiosity do you happen to know what the reasoning behind not using on light or white carpets would be. again excuse the ignorance as I understand I may be asking a common knowledge question.

 

one last thing, the more I think abou it, I dont wanna put this off on the guy who sold it to me, we were conversating, and he very well could have mis understood me as to what I was needing.

This product quickly saturates materials for instant cleaning. Leaves no residue. Contains no solvents which might soften carpet backings. This product also contains an odor modifier which destroys odors due to urine, vomit & blood through oxidation catalysis. A pleasant fragrance remains. Although this product will not harm most carpet fabrics, it is recommended that the carpet be tested for color fastness prior to using. To test for color fastness, spray small area of carpet in a hidden or out of the way spot & let dry. If product discolors carpet, contact supplier before using.
