They will have pretty much any thing you need from chems to equipment. As a good prespray i use hydro-break. It works really well for normal soiling. And i agree with Thang, attend an iicrc class, youll learn alot of what you need to know there. start out with the carpet cleaning tech class. And its always a good idea to do what you did here, ask someone who has the experience. A little extra piece of advice. Some cleaners choose not to do it, but ive found it only betters your results. Always pre-vacume, get out as much dirt as you can before putting a liquid on the carpet. Pre spray with a safe detergent (always bleed test). And give the prespray about 10-15 min. before extracting. rinse throughly. Good luck

(didnt pre spray) so I went to my local vac shop where I bought my chem. and asked them to suggest a pre-spray, now the guy may have fed me a line , but what he tells me is "I have used gone and it has worked great" but after i got home with it I started looking into it, because to me if it's a pre-spray it would say "pre-spray" but again who am I but a newbie so I took what he said at face value.

no loss if it wont work, so I now own a great big bottle of spotter......chalk it up to lesson learned I suppose. but just outta curiosity do you happen to know what the reasoning behind not using on light or white carpets would be. again excuse the ignorance as I understand I may be asking a common knowledge question.

one last thing, the more I think abou it, I dont wanna put this off on the guy who sold it to me, we were conversating, and he very well could have mis understood me as to what I was needing.

Edited by bigmark - 21/April/2007 at 2:11am

Contains strong cleaners and degreasers to remove stains due to dirt, ink, grease, oil, mud, ketchup, urine, vomit, coffee, tea, alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and blood. This product quickly saturates materials for instant cleaning. Leaves no residue. Contains no solvents which might soften carpet backings. This product also contains an odor modifier which destroys odors due to urine, vomit & blood through oxidation catalysis. A pleasant fragrance remains. Although this product will not harm most carpet fabrics, it is recommended that the carpet be tested for color fastness prior to using. To test for color fastness, spray small area of carpet in a hidden or out of the way spot & let dry. If product discolors carpet, contact supplier before using.

Edited by bigmark - 20/April/2007 at 5:13pm
