Thanks for the info Mark. I'm going to buy a deck brush this weekend and reclean the kitchen to see if it comes up any easier. I think I could've probably let the chemical dwell for a little bit longer than I did. I kind of had a feeling that an agitation process might need to be used in the cleaning but I wasn't sure. Thanks again for the post. Few questions for you that make a difference in how good the grout will come clean. Did you spray the cleaner on and let it dwell for 10 - 15 mins? Also did you use a grout brush and scrub the grout lines before hitting it with the SX-12? Many times it's necessary to scrub the lines. Even a swing machine won't get down in the grout lines as good as a grout brush.
 Spray/mop chems.  Let dwell.    Scrub lines with a brush. Extract.   If the lines are heavily soiled, sometimes an acid wash may be needed as well after your alkaline wash/extract.
 As for Prochem, I haven't used it but know people who do and they are very satisfied with the results. I myself use This Old Grout chems.

Just got my new SX-12 today and tried it out on my tile and grout in the kitchen. I used a tile and grout prespray from Prochem and 800 psi on the truckmount. The tile when done definately looked better but after drying I noticed some areas of the grout had stains that didn't come out. I took my time and did a thourogh cleaning so I guess my question is are there just some stains on grout that will always be permanent just like stains in carpet or maybe there are some other presprayes or rinses out there that might be better than Prochems.
