Dust settles on upholstered furniture just as on hard surfaces, andshould be removed regularly, about once a month, depending onenvironment and use, with vacuum cleaner attachments - the upholsterynozzle and crevice tool. A brush will remove some dust if you do not have a vacuum, but willalso scatter dust around. I hace a CFR handtool and is very good. Previous to that had a kleanrite tool which looks good, feels good, isn't nice to use.

Heard the new DriMaster is the business.

drymaster every time...It cost me about 300 bucks and change on ebay a year ago, but I never have overwetting problems, and the looks I used to get when I used a stair tool to do upholstery were worth the price, it just looks professional...
 
and the best thing about it, if i need to change water temp, since it loops the water, I can just let the water run till I get it the right temp instead of having to clean some carpet to get the water out of the 150 of pressure hose..
