If it is priced right it might be a good challenger to the ones used in auto detailing as well.  But if you are paying the same or more as you do for a porty and getting less, it is a not too good way of bilking the public.

Maybe it would sell on the QVC channel for home use?

Still, if you only use it for the ocassional waterclaw spotting and concentrate on VLM methods, I suppose it would work.  But as a full use porty, I think I would rule it out.

Like the idea of using a station wagon which this would permit and no trailer needed.

I agree with you, Spencer.  I still use my powerwand when needed which is rare.  My preference is a VLM method which my customers prefer.  I think the idea of the tiny unit was to make it possible to work out of a car.  They missed their market as these should have been sold to the rental business (add hose and standard wand) or for sale to the homeowner - or both!  They would need to include a safe sprayer as well for the retail bundle.  Maybe an infomercial is in their future. 

This solution of theirs, while of interest to the novice, is a joke for the serious professional.  And ignoring the need to incorporate a chemical rinse that will neutralize the PH in the carpet shows they may be electrical/mechanical engineers but they don't know squat about the chemistry of carpet cleaning.

Did you check out the caveats of removing that little paddle blade unit?   Looks like it isn't ready for retail yet due to design flaws.

Did anyone else get their ICS  e-newsletter with a link to the little Rotovac extractor training video? 

I looked at it and the first thing I noticed is it has no way of at least siphoning fiber rinse into the hot water feed.

Then I thought what a customer might think of seeing something smaller than a rug doctor being brought into the home and being told it is going to be a professional cleaning.

Then I found there were no specs on PSI, what type of vacuum motors are being used, nothing about how it would work with an external in-line heater - and that overall it looks that a rush to launch.

While I think it could be considered a novel concept I do not see how anyone could be taken seriously when carrying in a small unit like that into any home...what do you think?
