    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.kleenkuip.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2185">AndyMan</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6485<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21/April/2010 at 3:29pm<br /><br />The conclusion to the story:&nbsp; I did use a floor cleaner (not floor stripper)&nbsp; I mopped on , let it set for a bit and scrubbed with a 175 machine and a stiff brush.&nbsp; I then rinsed with my truckmount and spinner.&nbsp; The rinsing process really worked well.&nbsp; I then put on 3 coats of high solids floor finish and it looks like glass!! client very happy which is what matters most!!&nbsp; Truckmount was the key here!!&nbsp; gotta love the heat!!]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.kleenkuip.com/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=2829">John Hilbrands</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> 6485<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 21/April/2010 at 1:04pm<br /><br />I did about 100 floor cleanings 1000-2000 sq ft each last year and I never refinish.&nbsp; I guess if you want to make perfect strip and refinish but I usually do like you test the best cleaner and then just use it.&nbsp; I use the 175 rpm rotory &amp;&nbsp;pole grout brush and then use a steam wand on skids and then towel dry.&nbsp;<DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV><DIV></DIV>On one clay tile it needed refinish due to bad previous sealers and even gel wouldn't remove it.&nbsp; I discovered sanding worked and said We could&nbsp;blast it. The customer called some "specialists"&nbsp;&nbsp;who said replacement was necessary.&nbsp; He&nbsp;called me back and&nbsp;I called a soda blaster it came out great.&nbsp; <span style="font-size:10px"><br /><br />Edited by John Hilbrands - 21/April/2010 at 1:17pm</span>]]>

If it's urethane, you have to get it all off for sure or nothing is gonna bond.If it is urethane, use a paint stripper and then neutralize. Charge accordingly. If you have slate flooring in the kitchen, use small throw rugs around the stove and the sink to catch spills before they hit the floor; likewise with a slate floor in the bathroom. These steps will make it much easier to clean a slate floor<br>]]>
