Billboards don't sell, they tell.  They don't generate sales, a dirty carpet that cries out to the owner for help does. 

The only thing in my opinion that a billboard ad does is help in establishing validity to your business as a choice should the need arise.  How do you create a need?  That is more critical than buying billboard space IMHO.

I live in a city of about 50,000. Their is a billboard on the main road of the city. I can get this billboard for 1500 a month and am thinking of advertising 20 percent off on the sign.
