How can somebody claim to have a valid porty shootout with used equipment? Despite what they claim over there, Locko is no expert on portables or carpet cleaning. He keeps criticizing the Recoil's performance based on his busted up machine. Successful portable users need to have an aptitude for diagnosing problems and that fool merely quits and blames the machine every time he gets himself in a "pickle".
The Recoil remains one of the better choices as well.
At least the Recoil has a good pump, decent vacuum power, auto fill, auto dump.

Hummm. Wonder why Alexarz has to hide behind 5 or 6 different fake names? One would think that if someone criticizes the same machine and persons who build them that they would responsibility have the guts to use their REAL name.
 
Wonder where he has been lately? Probably playing in his sandbox.

We all know it was lockos performance that left the carpets soaked. You can use a 2x2 stage and get decent dry times on any carpet. I've done it boo-koo times!
And I'm sure many of you have.
We know its mainly your wand/tool technique..Pad Cleaningyour method.. your style..Cool

And like you've stated, there isn't a perfect portable. They all have flaws. One thing I appreciate about John L is his willingness to listen to the end users and make changes when needed. I'm sure he will listen to the feedback on the AirHog as well and make any needed changes and take care of those who have already purchased the unit.

You are right there, there is no portable that does not give trouble, however, some portables to have body problems, they crack behind the switch panel, im not going to publically pull the manfactures machines apart

For my money go with the Ninja 500 psi with the Fasco motor, not the Leeson motor
Being a user and service center I would recommend not having the pump set at 500 psi more a like 250, as it puts a stain on the motor and with 2x3 stage vacuums 250 is all these vacuum can handle, without having to over and over the capet to dry it off.

Actually, Locko criticized the performance as well and raved about how the Recoil left a carpet soaked on a job. I agree with some of his criticisms about the design but he even went too far with that, saying the wheels should be out more from the back. The guy is a janitor hack and isn't in any position to criticize anything. His Recoil was broken when he got it and the vac motors were probably out of life.
