I will say if you buy the cheap pad it might bleed. Otherwise
white, beige microfiber ,cotton.

I would not recommend using a floor pad on carpet.  It is like using course grit sandpaper for a fine finish.  Nothing wrong with the tool, something wrong with the craftsman.

White is the softer pad unless you go with the cotton 1's...Stern Smile
