$395.00 for a wand is NOT expensive. Especially in Canada.
 
Nearly all wands sold in Canada are made in the USA by about 10 companies or so.
 
The USA based cleaners have it easier because of that. Those Cleaners can buy even the Titanium Wands for $200 to $599, sometimes with Free Shipping.These wands will last many years.
 
 In the USA, at Connections last September I was selling my 12" Titanium Superlip Wands for only $199.00 with Free Shipping! Now that is inexpensive!
 
For most wands however, especially the steel  made wands, it can cost about $200.00 to ship a single wand to Canada when you add in the shipping, brokerage charge and PST. Sometimes more.
 
The volume is just not high enough in Canada to support a high volume wand making operation. We make a few under our PKM brand, but even there most are made in the USA for export around the world.
 
If cleaners would upgrade their wands every 5 years or so you might see more made in Canada.Wink

so those wands where cheap

Hi,
I was at the Kleenkuip store the other day and looked at the price tag of the brand new wand costing $395. How on earth can it be so expensive? I had to have the radiator in my car replaced some time ago, it only cost me $120 (the part, I mean). Or take computers - a small netbook is around $300. Are the wands hand-made in Canada? Or is it simply because anything you buy in Canada is twice as expensive as anywhere else?
