Get a cross-american vac booster and you can do it.  Even if you had to take one machine up stairs, the small light-weight cross-american is all you will take upstairs and the Ninja with it's dirty water tank remains downstairs.  Buy another 100' of hose and solution hose.

I admit that Hinja with 2 3-stage vacuums will do its job just fine when parked on the main floor and you work on the upper with 50 ft hoses.. Most likely a defective vac motor IMO.

Just replace it with a new one . Should cost you less than $200.00 to do that.

If the old one costs less than $50 to fix, fix it. Probably needs the brushes replaced on the armiture. If it is more serious than that, throw it away and buy a spare motor instead.

You should always have a spare vac motor and pump anyway.

If the Ninja has the more powerful 3 stage vacs in it 50 ft is not going to be a problem Even 75' can be done with good results.

The normal 2 - 2 stage model that most cleaners have will also do 50 ft. But understand that recovery will be reduced. Compensate for this by doing an extra drying pass on the carpet to remove more water.
