Author: BAHAMAS
Subject: 7425
Posted: 14/July/2012 at 11:37pm

Hi there,
New in the cleaning business, infact we don't have not one client yet. From the Bahamas and I am a banker trying help to establish a business for my dear hubby in cleaning.

I have come up with so many ways to get started but following thru is my biggest issue....today I got the idea to target carpet installment companies and partner with them to some degree to get their clients.

I figured: When a company first goes into business the first thig they do before hiring a cleaning company is get the carpet so i figure since this is the first place they will go i'll be there wen they get there. The question is how.

Now I have contacted 2 major carpet installation companies and asked questions like:

Are u guys able to identify a brand new business from one that is simply replacing carpet. The answer was yes. My reason for asking this is because I wanted to know if they would have any way of identifying the customers i truly desire which are new businesses just opening their doors hence new carpets and a fresh start.

The easy part is done. now I have to come up with a proposal for these two companies that will benefit them because as it stands the only person benefiting from any referrals they may provide is me which probably wont sit well with them. I would imagine that they would have to get their staff on board in soliciting my business as the maintenance to the new carpet they will be purchasing so it has to be a benefit factor in there or two for them.

Here's what I came up with:

-Referral incentives of $100.00 per referral but then i figured ...suppose these referrals don't lock in my services. I am out $100.00 and no client.

-Then I thought create bulk advertizing -tv ads, flyers etc that will promote both of our businesses at the same time and because they are popular and im not this works for me in getting my name out there and for them with free advertizing. (butt can get pricey real fast)

-Then I thought every customer they supply carpet provide a coupon/gift cert for. The thing with that is what about their business customers. Sure this will work for residential but i cant see companies who have installed carpet taking advantage of coupons.

I need some ideas fast, I have to pitch this in document form on Friday of next week and this is as far as i have come. Any ideas?
