I have a 20" clarke 175 1.5hp and do not want to buy another machine. I will be doing mainly empty rentals, some small commercial and a few residentials. Is the 20" to big? Should I get a smaller brush shield or can I just take the original one off and put a smaller pad driver on it? I have seen that a 15 inch or 17 inch is the best, which size would you drop down to? I can get a 16 or 18 inch brush shield unless there is some universal one that will fit.

In your opinion which pads would you use for each situation...commercial, rental, residentials.

Thanks for everyones input!
